The Board of Directors of the Santa Maria Arts Council cordially extends this opportunity to promote the arts and local talent within the Santa Maria Valley.
We invite you to participate as a community partner in our Individual Grants in the Arts program. These grants offer financial assistance to locally trained artists, 12 years of age and older, contributing to their development with the purpose of invigorating and expanding the pool of artists and arts activities in our area.

The awards are given in the name of persons who have made a significant difference in the local arts.
The 2007 Individual Grants in the Arts will be given in the name of Dolores Doran, innovative educator, musician, and arts advocate.

During the 2007 grant competition, the Arts Council will award $2,400 in each of the four categories of music, drama, dance, and visual arts, for a total of $9,600.
Winners in the competition will perform at an awards presentation and performance at the Veterans’ Memorial Community Center on Monday, May 21 at 5:30 p.m.
